I have created a page for what I’m calling the #GiveThanksChallenge. This is a challenge that is not for the faint at heart. It will not be easy. It will require you to really examine your life and the many events that occur and find a way to give thanks to God for those events. These are times in our lives that we are not usually thankful for. I’m talking the lowest of the low. This exercise is designed to help you exercise your faith in a way that is not typical and certainly no fun for our flesh. Sincerely consider each category on the list and try earnestly to ponder how you should be thankful for every “bad” situation. Think of any lessons learned or blessings in disguise. God sometimes uses our “bad” situations to reach others, so maybe you can be thankful for how he used your situation to benefit someone else. Just remember that we may not always see the good in every situation. God will always use our situation to get His glory if we will surrender to Him, but there is no promise that we will get to see how He will use our situation for “good”.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 KJV
Please find the challenge on the “Give Thanks” page here.
I invite you to share your examples in the comments section. We will all enjoy reading and learning from each other how to be thankful for ALL things, not just the good. Please also share and challenge your friends on social media, #GiveThanksChallenge.
